Finding places

So this is the first post of July. And for that, I want to go over quickly what we will be seeing this coming month. First off, for the next two weeks starting on the 3rd, there is an exhibition at Alt City. More work coming in as well for cafes, bars, restaurants, and bakeries coming in. New art is going to continue being posted each day. If not posted, they will be posted the next day and marked on the day they were finished.

And the ebook project is coming along nicely, which is mainly working with other authors and putting their poetry or prose with art along side. I’ll be placing my own as well.

And finally, I’ve been working on putting together tutorial guides as an ebook format that should be freely downloaded, on various different art styles and topics. That should be seen coming up, so keep in tune.

And, I plan on holding two more competitions this month, so lets see what happens.

Oh, and before I forget, the end of this month marks the sign up deadline for the game design competition, so if you are in the area and would be interested, do sign up!

Other than that, take care, and enjoy what’s left of the first of June.

Supposed exhibition tomorrow and moving

So there was a mishap with the supposed exhibition tomorrow and it has been pushed back till September. The one on the 3rd is still going to happen though.

That said, I may not be posting new things over the coming next few days, as I am currently moving on the 2nd. As of now, just trying to sell as many paintings as possible to scrounge up the extra cash to help with that. I’ll be posting the painting done yesterday and today now.

all nighter round… guess I lost count

So tonight is the final all-nighter for the network cafe’s painting. Starting in an hour or so, will need to make some food before that and pick up the 3 sheets of glass from home.

8 tables

8 tables

8 tables for Mad Water painting 1. If this one is approved, then 8 circles would be cut out of it, and then each one would have lettering cutouts surrounding the circumference for the piece.

Goals for today

1. Finish the reworked deathmachine (done)

2. Finish the gustav design (almost done)

3. Finish the painting for the Mad Water small tables

4. Reapply the water-seal to the old paintings

5. Turn in the paintings for exhibition 1

6. Turn in paintings for exhibition 2

7. Send out the needed emails

News from today

So I looked at the wallet and found about 11 or 12 different business cards. I guess I need to go through and scan them to the computer and send the emails then.

Turned in the commission earlier, had to make some changes to it though, so I’ll post the new version here in a bit. Out of that though, three more new art commissions, one commission for a repainting of the clockwork eye picture, and Moscow Mule asked me to paint their wall as well.

So I will need to add that to the commissions list, redo the priorities, reset the times and the hours for each painting and reschedule the coming two weeks to fit all that.

Also, I will be increasing the minimum cost of each painting, from 30 + per print to 40 + per print. Originals would of course vary. I am getting by with the art being sold so far, but instead of making a 15 USD profit for a 30 USD print, I would rather that be 25 or more. Then I would be able to use that money, after the essentials are taken care of, and save up to make better games.

What’s next on the list?

So for every commission finished, two more are picked up. I may be exhibiting in 3 or 4 more places over the coming months as well. Right now I’m working on Samar’s piece, the “Rabbit Hole” piece is up at the bar for anyone who would like to pass by and check it out.

Also. Business cards? I want to wait to create one until I make the site into a proper site, so I can include it on the card. But at the same time, I am getting asked a lot more lately if I have a business card or not.

Anyways, enough procrastination. I’m seeing if I can finish two paintings at a time, and time it. The 6 hours last night was really too much, and I am not going to overprice someone over the extra time spent.
